Bandits have hijacked a steam locomotive, loaded it with dynamite and pointed it straight at the town. You have 45 minutes to catch the train, defuse the charges and take the controls. This is our Expert — the hardest game we offer.
A quiet Wild West town has no idea what is bearing down on it. You do — and you are the only ones who can do anything about it. You ride out to meet the train, jump aboard at full speed, and from there it is all climbing: across the cars, over the roof, into the guts of the steam locomotive.
Along the way you get everything a western owes you: shootouts with bandits straight off a speeding train, a safe with a combination, mechanical puzzles under the pressure of racing seconds — and on the roof a steel opponent who does not step aside easily.
Runaway Train is our hardest escape room — Expert category. The puzzles get solved at full speed and the team has to work like the pistons of the locomotive: split the roles, call the numbers out, never stop. We recommend it to groups who already know escape rooms. Newcomers are better off starting with Ninja Trials — and come back to the Train once you are warmed up.
Played at VR Liptov in Liptovský Mikuláš — the whole arena belongs to your group for the duration of the game, and the gamemaster watches the whole time to see whether the train is still on the rails. Expert is doable too — just not with your hands in your pockets.
